Support for Parenthood Beyond Birth

At Rooted Way, support does not begin and end in the birth room. Pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and early parenthood are deeply connected experiences and families deserve care that reflects that. Whether you are preparing for labor, learning how to safely wear your baby, figuring out cloth diapers, healing in your postpartum body, or trying to confidently install a car seat for the first time, support matters in the everyday moments too.

Beyond Doula Care was created to bring together the additional education, wellness, and hands-on support services offered through Rooted Way Doula Services. These offerings are designed to help families feel more informed, more supported, and more connected to themselves and their choices through every stage of parenthood. Rooted Way believes evidence-based education and practical support should feel approachable, judgment-free, and rooted in real life, not perfection.

Some of these services are available now, while others are currently being developed as Ashley completes additional certifications and training. As Rooted Way continues to grow, so will the ways families can access support before birth, during birth, and far beyond it.

Prenatal and Postnatal Massage Therapy

Ashley is currently completing massage therapy training through SOMA and offers limited student massage sessions while in school. Current offerings include free practice sessions completed as part of homework assignments in clients’ homes, as well as low-cost instructor-supervised student clinic sessions booked directly through SOMA School of Massage Therapy. Massage offerings will continue expanding throughout training and beyond graduation in October 2026.

Postpartum Doula Support

Extra hands, reassurance, and practical support as your family settles in with a new baby. Support may include newborn and feeding support, light household help, meal preparation, sibling adjustment, and time for you to rest and recover.

Available on its own or as additional support with any birth package.

$37/hour with a 3-hour minimum

Most visits are 3–4 hours and are shaped around what your family needs that day.

Babywearing Education and Support

Babywearing can be a beautiful tool for connection, regulation, and everyday life with a baby, but learning where to start can feel overwhelming. Rooted Way offers babywearing education and hands-on support to help families safely and comfortably use carriers that fit their body, lifestyle, and parenting needs. Support may include carrier basics, fit checks, troubleshooting discomfort, newborn positioning, and trying different carrier styles before investing in your own.

Birth Planning and Preparation Workshop

This workshop is designed to help growing families feel more informed, organized, and confident as they prepare for birth. Topics may include creating a birth preferences plan, understanding common interventions and options, comfort measures, communication with providers, partner support, hospital bag preparation, and practical tips for navigating labor, birth, and the early postpartum period. Perfect for families looking for education and guidance in a flexible virtual or in-person format.

Cloth Diapering Education

Cloth diapering does not have to be all-or-nothing, and it does not have to be complicated. Rooted Way provides realistic, judgment-free cloth diapering education for families interested in learning more about modern cloth options, washing routines, setup basics, and how cloth diapering fits into everyday life. Whether you are simply curious or planning to fully cloth diaper from birth, support is tailored to your comfort level and goals.

Childbirth Education Classes

Starting Fall 2026

My childbirth education classes will be rooted in the Lamaze International philosophy of evidence-based, informed, and confident birth preparation. Classes will help families better understand labor, birth, postpartum recovery, newborn care, comfort measures, and informed decision-making in a supportive and approachable environment. The purpose of the class is to help families feel prepared, informed, and supported as they navigate their journey into parenthood.
